

Farhan Ali is a visual artist based in Lahore, Pakistan, known for his refined skills in traditional miniature painting. He earned his degree in Fine Arts, specializing in miniature painting, from the prestigious National College of Arts (NCA) in Lahore. After completing his studies, Farhan established his own creative space, Alifarhan Studio, where he continues to explore, create, and promote the intricate art of miniature painting. His studio not only serves as a platform for his artistic expression but also as a commitment to keeping this centuries-old tradition alive through modern interpretations. Over the years, Farhan has actively participated in numerous national and international art exhibitions, showcasing his work to diverse audiences worldwide. His notable exhibitions include Lines of Sand at the Swiss Biennial (Switzerland), Relook at Miniature in Jakarta, Indonesia, and a collaborative project between Pakistan and Belgium, titled Brussels, based on a manuscript. He has also exhibited in Migration and Empathy at the Bursa Museum of Migration and Empathy (Turkey) and the 5th Asia Triennial Manchester, themed Love Thy Neighbour, in England. Many group shows in Pakistan, Sanat Art Gallery, Karachi, recently participated in Dimensions, at Oartspace Lahore, and a solo presentation at Taseer Art Gallery Lahore. Through his practice, Farhan Ali continues to bridge cultural dialogues, blending traditional miniature aesthetics with contemporary narratives, making his work both timeless and relevant in today’s artistic landscape
